A question for you all
And I am full of them, let me tell ya! Here is just one- did you have
a hard time having diabetes as a teenager? I hear all kinds of horror
stories, just wanted to know from some people who have been there and
survived. I realize it is important to fit in at that age, but how
much does diabetes interfere with that?

Hi, it was a pain in the a*s LOL
(hope i didn’t offend anyone) It
was difficult and in my case alot of mistakes were made, drinking
coke, candy, not exercising. My doctor had a hard time figuring me
out, I had blood sugars that reached 38.9 (canadian measurement)
they are supposto be around 2-7 not 38. But I think that I accually
benifited from that, I built a tolerance to haveing extreme high’s,
so I don’t get all disorented or black out from them. And don’t get
me wrong, I am NOT saying go out and do this, I am just saying that
is my feeling on what I did. As for peer pressure, it never affected
me, I always had, and still have the attitude, IF YA DON’T LIKE ME
FOR ME…LEAVE. Words to live by, I don’t run my life so I can fit
in, or be popular, I don’t care about crap like that, in the big
picture, it means nothing. So I take care of myself, and I live MY
life. Sorry to rambel on like that, but I hate the excuse of “PEER
PRESSURE” If you have other questions drop me a line.

I hope my son has that same attitude LOL. So you can build a
tolerance to highs as well as lows?
