<description>i guess my best suggestion is one you already know about:
apply to ALL schools in your state of residence..thats
REALLY critical because they WILL favor you a lot more over
a non-resident. I applied to all 13 schools in new york state
and i got into 7 of them, so i think it does make a very
big difference. 3.2, honestly, isnt the highest of gpas, but
if you do nail the mcat, you definitely havea very good shot.
also, the committee looks at a plethora of other factors,
such as obstacles you've gone through in your life,
(hint hint), and how you've overcome them to move on and
be functional and ever more, successful, in life....med schools
love STRONG personalities, so just get the interview, and
LET IT SHINE!!
have faith! i believe in you melissa...best of luck

<description>Not sure where all I'm applying yet KU for sure- that's my 1st
choice, we've been here 3 years and really like it, and I figure with
residency here it's my best chance. Then also probably Univ of NE-
that's where we're from, so probably my 2nd best chance. Other than
that, probably the missouri schools, and maybe an ivy league just for
the heck of it ( I wouldn't go even if I got in). Any suggestions? My
gpa is BAD (like 3.2), just hoping I did good enough on the mcat to
make up for it. I'm dreading the personal statements the most!
