[Diab.Eg] Inhaled Insulin Effective, but Lung
Salam Dear Sweetest People On Earth (SPOE) ;_)
Well, as we all know this study as we expected it to be !!
Such side effect ( slightly hurt breathing ability )will let us all question if we (Type 1 diabetes), will go for such treatment !!!
For me personally, am not ready even to think of it !!
What do u think dears !!
Is it really worth it to switch from insulin injections to inhaled insulin!!
Am one of those who are really interested in any thing other than injections_ (19 yrs of at least two dail injections is more than enough, I think )_ coz of I don’t like the site of injected skin anymore !!
BUT my lungs r not to be the sacrificed price!! especially there is still another phase IV study, after the Inhaled Drug will be marketed, so in real we still don’t know ALL what we might be in front of !!
injection… injection …
so what….
I wonder how diabetic kids might think !!

Well, my son is a child, and I think this has promise, but he won’t
But, as usual, he couldn’t go on it until
be using it. He has asthma, so I have suspected all along that he
would not be able to.
he is 12 anyway, because that is how new drugs work. Anyway, just our
situation. Anyone else?

said data from a new study confirm that its experimental inhaled form
of insulin controls blood sugar just as well as injections of
insulin, although the inhaled form again slightly hurt breathing
ability.
