Hiya Everyone
I’ve just joined this group and i thought i should say hello and
introduce myself.
I’m Samantha and i’m 28 from the UK. I have had type 1 diabetes now
for roughly 27 years. I was diagnosed when i was 14 months old. I’m
currently on 4 injections a day, Novorapid during the day and Lantus
(Glargine)before i go to bed. I’m also on a 2 week trial on the pump,
i only have saline solution pumping into me at the moment but i
change to insulin on the 11th November. So far the trial is going
very well and i can already see the benfits of being on a pump. The
model i’m using is the MiniMed Paradigm. My diabetes control is
pretty good but of course there is always room for inprovement,
hopefully that will come when i start using mypump with insulin.
I joined this group because i wanted to chat with people in the same
situation as myself. Anyway i’ll leave it there for now, don’t want
to bore you all to death
