Diabetes Fundraiser

I am an employee of Bluegreen Resorts Management. Every year we have
a charity golf tournament to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research
Foundation.
We do many other fundraising activities throughout the year. In a
few weeks many of us will be participating in a walk for JDRF.
I am writing to ask if you would be kind enough to donate an
something for the silent auction that will be held at the golf
tournament. Anything would be appreciated. Nothing is ever too big
or two small, but please be sure that it is something that is new.
Every little bit helps and nothing goes un-noticed.
I suggested doing this type of fundraising and offered to do it
because I just lost a very close friend due to complications from
his diabetes. Steve was only 50. He was diagnosed as a very young
child. In his last decade of life, Steve lost five of his toes, his
eyesight as well as his kidneys to the disease. He survived three

bouts of heart failure, the fourth taking him from us. I am hoping
that doing something like this to raise money for JDRF may some day
save a life such as Steve’s. I am doing this on my own accord with
promises from Bluegreen that the items will be used for the auction
or as a fundraiser in another way. Any time or expenses from this
will come out of my pocketmy way of giving something back to Steve
for the 20 wonderful years of friendship that we shared.
Please send your donations to:

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and thank you in
advance for any contributions you may send.
