Have a question

Hello everyone
I would like to here from the ones that have had type 1 diabetes for
mor than 20 yrs. How much insulin are you taking according to your
carbs and what kind of insulin you are using?

hi, i hava had type 1 for 20yrs and will be 29 in 3 months…i have
one child and trying for another, but cant get A1C under control,
last one was 8.3%, doc suggesting a pump…have tried lantus twice
with zero success…humalog is great and sticking with nph til get
material on a pump…try to stick with low carbs, but it is hard to
get exercise in the pic with a 3 yr old and work….any suggestions
would be great….

I am a type 1 Diabetic currently taking 5 shots a day, and still
having a hard time controling my bloodsugars. I have been insulin
dependent since the age of 7. I am looking forward to chatting with

Diabetes Fundraiser

I am an employee of Bluegreen Resorts Management. Every year we have
a charity golf tournament to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research
Foundation.
We do many other fundraising activities throughout the year. In a
few weeks many of us will be participating in a walk for JDRF.
I am writing to ask if you would be kind enough to donate an
something for the silent auction that will be held at the golf
tournament. Anything would be appreciated. Nothing is ever too big
or two small, but please be sure that it is something that is new.
Every little bit helps and nothing goes un-noticed.
I suggested doing this type of fundraising and offered to do it
because I just lost a very close friend due to complications from
his diabetes. Steve was only 50. He was diagnosed as a very young
child. In his last decade of life, Steve lost five of his toes, his
eyesight as well as his kidneys to the disease. He survived three
