post exercise lows

I went for a mile long walk. Checked my sugar before, during and after. At
dinner I took half my usual insulin dose, yet I suddenly dropped to 49. Why is
it that you can be low so long after exersise?

    Hi there. Exercise can affect your body for up to 24 hours after you
    exercise. I find when I do even the mildest exercise that it keeps
    my sugar low for several hours - sometimes throughout the entire day
    if I exercise early in the morning. Just make sure you eat a good
    snack before you exercise.
