School Walk for Diabetes
WE NEED DONATIONS!!!!! I am not out to take you for your money or
to con you. All checks will be made out to American Diabetes
Association by YOU and given to my son’s school on May 21 2004. If
you would like to donate 1 dollar it would be welcome. ADA will
then send you a conformation I belive you can use ase a tax
deduction. When I was a kid my mother always told me and my sisters
that we should not put to much sugar on our cereal because we could
get diabetes. Well 20 years later, she has diabetes along with both
my grandmothers, aunt, uncle, and more than a few family friends.
We try to tell her that she needs to watch what she eats and
exercise but she won’t listen and has just found out that she has
cateracts. That is why I am intrerested in my son’s school
fundraiser. Walsh School is having a school walk for Diabetes in
June. They are asking for donations in any amount. The flyer they
sent home says that type 2 diabetes is on the rise in children and
the American Diabetes Association will use some of this money to
educate children and there parents on ways to keep their kids
healthy. The rest will be used to support diabetes research,
information, and advocacy. Please make a donation in any amount.
