lantus ??
Does anyone else notice that lantus starts to lose power after about three
weeks? I keep it in the fridge like I’m supposed to, but after about three
weeks my sugar levels start to climb. Sometimes a small increase helps…but
other times I notice that when I open a new bottle I’m back to normal.
But….sometimes it’s too soon to get a refill and I have to increase the dose,
which makes me nervous. I’ll have to have my doc write for two bottles a month
I guess.

Jenny,
I have not noticed this. How may times (bottles in a row) has this happened?? You may want to check lot #’s, if there are not many Lantus users through your pharmacy. I keep mine at room temperature (65-78 degrees F), not in fridge, so that may make a difference. (yes, I know they recommend keeping in fridge) Anyway, I hope you can find out what is causing this. Keep us posted!!!
