		<description>Brian,

Actually, last I heard, they were working on both orally &#38; nasally inhaled delivery and a patch. The problem with the patch is that is usually a sustained release (more like the NPH or Lantus), although that would at least cut down on the shots for the long acting. The problems that they are having with the inhaled version is imprecise dosing. I am keeping my fingers crossed on both options, though, as I have been doing shots for over 27 years. (Not long enough to remember the glass syringes, but I sure do remember the test tube reactions for the urine tests!) I hope you are doing well!

Regards,

Stacy

Hi Judith and Carol, thanks for checking in on me . I seem to weathering the storm OK. I have worriedly been checking my BS, (blood sugar levels that is [INLINE] ) every hour or so. It has come down dramatically. Now I just need to make sure that I don't crash on the other side. You know Judith, those old needles were right out of the dark ages! I wasn't a diabetic at the time but seeing what my poor brother had to go through left its mark upon my psyche. I am very thankful for the advances in medical technology! In a previous post Kate, I believe it was mentioned that there is work being done on developing a Nasal delivery. That would be awesome! For now , I am doing OK with the 30 gauge "shorts." I wonder why research isn't looking into a Patch type delivery.... Maybe one day! You all take care and give yourselves a big hug from me! [INLINE] [INLINE] [INLINE] [INLINE] [INLINE] [INLINE] [INLINE] [INLINE] [INLINE] [INLINE] [INLINE] [INLINE] You guys( being from
California, everybody is "guys" ) have meant much!

                                        Sincerely,
