hypoglycemic
I’ve had hypoglycemic episodes at least once a day for several days in a row. Yesterday and today were really bad. Tonight I dropped from 102 to 55 in less than an hour. I ate like 60 grams of carb and still only made it up to 75. I’m tired…I’m worn out. Right now I’m lower than I should be at bedtime and I’m so not interested in food, but if I don’t eat I’ll be low in the middle of the night.
At the doctor last week my doctor decreased my lantus and increased my humalog. I go back on the pump Thursday. I’m thoroughly convinced I’ll never reach consistant normal numbers.
I feel so burned out.

Are these lows happening at the same time of day each day? It sounds to me like it’s the long acting insulin that’s the culprit here. Call your doctor! Find out what to do. Also if you can find an advanced diabetes management class in your area (contact ADA) it would help you to be able to manage your own insulin dosages and spot and fix problems before they get out of hand. Good luck.
