Caffeine/milk

but isn’t anything below 8 not something to worry about if that is all you are having? How much milk do you put in your coffee? I would say even a 1/2 cup of whole milk (and creamer is less carbs and heavy cream almost nothing) is only 6 carbs. That seems like a lot of milk and I like latte’.

    Hi Rhonda
Regarding your two messages below: My numbers were in millimoles per Liter,
or mmol/L, which can be converted to the milligrams per deciliter, or mg/dL
commonly used in the USA, by multiplying the number by 18. Hence, 2.8 will
    be approximately 50 and 6.7 about 120.
And yes, I agree, below 8 is nothing to worry about! I’m not really too
concerned about the raise in blood sugar after coffee, it was just an
interesting phenomenon. As you say, if half a cup of whole milk (which is
exactly what I drink - I refuse to have low fat milk in coffee!) is 6 grams,
then I would not have expected my blood sugar to go from 2.8 to 6.7.

    Guy
