Hi Jeff,
I’ve been back on my pump for a little over a month. For the most part, it’s been great! It’s so much easier at school when I grab lunch between lectures to just have to press a button on my pump rather than going to the bathroom with insulin pen and needle.
Yesterday morning my sugar was well over 500, and it finally came down. Same thing happened this morning. I changed my infusion set. Probably should have done it yesterday, but didn’t think about it, especially cuz my numbers came down with some extra insulin. Don’t know for sure what was going on. I still feel a little crummy…
The good news is, I had my A1c done a couple weeks ago and it was 6.0! Last October it was 8.9 and it’s s-l-o-w-l-y come down over the course of the year. The only thing that bothers me is that I’ve been low a lot since going back on the pump, so I’m not sure how accurate the A1c is.
Well, I’ve probably told you way more than you wanted to hear…
Jenny
