comment on the pump
Someone, I can’t remember who, they didn’t want to have a pump because they thought it was awful having something attached to them all the time. I remember feeling that way for a very long time when my doctor wanted me to switch to the pump. I was worried about intimate moments, what strangers would think and how it would feel. It seemed to me to be just like a colostomy bag!!! Now years later I realize that it was such a funny thing, it is a big nothing. I don’t even notice it. People think it is a pager. I have never had anyone even notice it. As for intimate moments, the pump never interfered at all. My husband was a bit careful of it in the beginning but within a couple of weeks he forgot about it as well. (I still have my pump but lost the husband!) If anyone is thinking about becoming a pumper feel free to talk to me. It is a wonderful addition to our options for care.

I am curious about the pump. If you go swimming, you just detach it, is that correct? Then reinsert the needle when you are dry?

Alrighty, then. does the site of the “plastic thingy” have to be changed? Or is it kinda like a shunt that stays there, but a new attachment is inserted? By the way, if you would like to answer tomorrow, I understand!
