    Thanks Steve!

We are blessed in a way. Although Sydney was the first type 1 at her school, it wasn’t long before other children started to arrive. And although I wouldn’t wish this on anyone, it was nice to know my daughter wasn’t “alone” any more.

A little boy was diagnosed about a year after we were and then with having 2 children at our school, 2 little boys started Kindergarten this year and they were transferred in because the nurses are so familiar with the routine. Like I said it is nice to know you are not alone.

Syd has a great outlook on life and takes almost everything in stride. She loves to dance and does so 3-4 days a week. She works very hard at it and even though she is the youngest in her class by about 2 years she is not at the bottom of the totem pole in ability.

We just got a ton of snow and she got out her snow board and was outside for 2 hours at a time with wind chills approaching 0! What a nut. We kept checking her fingers and toes but they were warm as could be!

    Thanks for caring and sharing,
