When Syd worries about school, tests, driving far her sugar goes up. I find just talking about it helps and letting her know that I am there for her.

Thanks for caring and sharing,

Stephanie,

Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!!!! Stress is the worst, particularly if it involves anger. I have had to work on finding a relaxation technique that works (being left alone with my dog is really good for me, but stretching, deep breathing, and exercise are all really good, too). Also, you should try to monitor her sugars a little more closely when she is upset or stressed. She may need additional fast acting insulin if the exercise doesn't work, or if she goes too high. Your endo can tell you what the best target sugars are, where she should stay below under these circumstances. I'm so sorry that Maddie is upset. I hope some of this helps!

Hi Everyone,
I know right from the start I was told that stress will make blood
sugars go up, do others out there find this to be so in there own
routines? And if it does, what do you do to unstress and correct the
blood sugar issue?
I know that Madelyn is very upset, angry and mad over something, she
has voiced this, she's not holding it in (is has to do with her
father), but I can't stand to watch it literally make her sick.
<!--more-->
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Stephanie
