not washing hands
I totally agree!
I think we wash too much and then we get sick!
(not me, friends of mine)
My Grandmother said you have to eat a pound of dirt before you die and I agree. If you keep everything from baby, when they get a germ they don’t know what to do with it and get sick.
Coming in contact with germs builds up a better immunity!
Alcohol is getting thrown away!
(or probably used by people who won’t understand, like the school nurse and my dh)

Rhonda, I agree too. I still say that I should roll my 8 year old in a big old tub of mud and let him sit for a few hours just covered. Keeping him too clean has caused him to pick up just about every ‘germ’ that passes by him. I hate to admit this but I really didn’t know. Last Feb. he developed a small patch of cradle cap on his scalp. I freaked, took him to the dr. and he ordered Elidel and hydrocortisone cream. They did nothing. Both products not only made it worse, but made it spread. We also tried Denorex, and Head & Shoulders since cradle cap is a form of seborrhea. Finally, I dug out some very old 6 years old) baby lotion and after cleaning away the scaly, yucky, stuff with peroxide and a comb, I slathered it on. Now he’s fine and we use Baby Magic Bath for shampoo and lotion. He now smells like a newborn babe when he gets ready to go somewhere but the cradle cap is gone. I also do not bathe him evey night anymore. He gets washed off between showers thru the week.
It is possible to be too clean! Found that out the hard way. Of course, I have a friend who when we were younger never cleaned her house much less her kids and they were hardly ever sick. Think I might get me a big tub for when the weather warms up and give him a mud bath! LOL! (just kidding)
Take care,
Carol

Judith,
AWESOME idea abou the alcohol. Hubby just put in a new used sink, and it needs some shine. I have a ton of withering alcohol pads, and now have a use for them. Thank you!
Kaitlin has a dance competition tomorrow in IND. Her first solo. I believe Mom is more nervous than Kaitlin. I just cannot bring myself to tell her to break a leg……
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Alcohol pads are also great for getting the soot stain off your glass around votive candles.

Rhonda,
It is a treat to learn about our members…. I had to grin when I read your previous title of candle consultant. That’s cool.
