dying tomorrow…

Good Morning,

I’ve often wondered how Diabetics, type 1’s are effected in their mental perceptions about things… because of the illness & its many demons….

How do/can we tell when we’ve gotten…. ~altered~ from a healthy mental space???? We have a chronic illness, if you’ve had it for most of your life… how can you tell the difference, between….. “stoic exhaustion” maybe and something that’s… more insideous <sp.?
Thoughts anyone :

As for death by diabetes… I was fortunate… perhaps my peds. doctor was of a “new generation” of thinking? Death, yes…. I will certainly die. But not today and NOT now! [Note: If I did Beth would find some way to bring me back and KILL me herself <worried look

Btw before I forget again Mary, thanks for posting the story site (sic. diabetes stories) again, I’d found it a long time ago and lost the address….

Jeff (I don’t eat squisy banannas, I did NOT write that story…(wish I had though, its funny))

One Response to “dying tomorrow…”

    Hey Jeff,

I never got that line either, although I was diagnosed when I was 5. My (then) doc encouraged my mom to keep me active & keep my life relatively normal. I dunno…..he was older, but one of the best I’ve ever run across.
