HELP re: pens -Novalog v. Humalog
Good Morning Folks :
Recently went to the Endo told her all the Humalog Insulin pens seemed to have a design-delivery problem. I’ve known for years, and wanted to know what they were doing about it… what they were telling her to do.
I tracked down a regional drug rep’s manager for the company and grilled them on the problem. Nada…
The endo suggested the NOVOlog pens did not have this delivery problem
(When pressing the HUMALOG pen’s plunger down for the last units, you must press FULL-force, for at least 2/3 seconds minimum in order to get ALL of the HUMALOG you dialed-up injected…, if not, you leave a measurable amount of Humalog UN-injected… which obviously is bad)
Has anybody (with some experience) on the list gone between these two pens/insulins (HUMALOG v. Novolog) had any SIGNIFICANT differences in dosage adjustment? Any differences at all?
