We had to pee in jars with lids, and one person in the cabin was responsible to take them all to the nurse’s building. The ’specs.’ We did learn how to give ourselves our own shots, and that was very liberating. However, all I really wanted from the camp was to go home. I was SO homesick, I refused to eat anything but white american cheese.
The others in the cabin seemed much better adjusted. (I was 9 years old). First time away from home, etc. The biggest lesson learned was that I will never force my kids to attend a camp. Homesick at 9 is no fun.
