mini med

you are going to LOVE it!

My daughter was on saline for 3 days and the we switched to insulin. I use to go every day at lunch to watch her get tested and get her shot, I haven’t been once since she went on the pump. It has made her very independent. The hardest part was learning how to change the infusion set and I feel comfortable with it already. We got the pump February 27th and went to insulin on the 2nd of March.

My daughter is very active, dancing 3 days a week for 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours each day. She wears her pump on a little belt and has had no problems. Things she has done that amaze me that it doesn’t get in her way…tumbling, basketball, pogo stick, sleep (even with her nighty she just clips it on her panties) She only takes it off for tubby time.

She works it herself and the grandparents are upset because they never had a chance to learn anything, she just does it herself. As long as you are good at counting carbs you’ll be fine.

Let me know what you think and how you do.

Thanks for caring and sharing,
