Lee Iacocca’s Foundation
Hi all,
I am a volunteer for the JoinLeeNow.org foundation that is sponsored
by Lee Iacocca. Lee Iacocca’s wife passed away from Type 1 diabetes
20 years ago and he started a foundation to find a cure.
I couldn’t find a way to put a website link in this message but
please take a minute to visit his website, www.joinleenow.org to see
a video clip of his speech last year. It is only a few minutes long
and the doctor that has found the possible cure also speaks about how
she has discovered this cure.
This is not stem cell research and it is the first possible cure that
I have heard of that tackles the disease rather than masking the
problem such as the islet transplant procedures.
We are trying to raise money to fund this research and for obvious
reasons, pharmaceutical companies are against it.
If this turns out to be a success, this possible cure would be rather
simple and low cost compared to the other options that are being
pushed.
I wouldn’t bother any of you with this if I didn’t believe in this
research. The more we can pass the word around, hopefully, the
quicker the results.
