Major Goof!
Hello Steve,
The insulin pump also does NOT mean that we get to ignore having backup/alternate insulin with us.
That plus the extra tubing, the extra infusion sets, the IV prep wipes, the priming syringe, and the duct tape <only half kidding
Anyone here ever “doubled up” on the short-acting insulin, not being awake and thinking it was the LONG acting stuff ?????? Ayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeya…… Now that’s a ~fun game~…. (NOT)!

Morning Lisa,
It has to have been a type 2 diabetic. That or a type 1 with suicidal tendencies…. type 1’s must have insulin period. We can survive quite a while without it, but things get pretty ugly fairly-fast without the stuff. Sure we can alter our dosages with the habit of heavy-healthy exercise, or certainly by our food intake (or both)… but we still need SOME amount of insulin to process what we do eat for energy, and use the sugar our bodies have available.
Anyone on the list ever “shot blind” <GGG
I’m betting this one will be a serious generational divide… pre 85-90 and after 85 to 90, but lets see <wg
