Type 1 diabetes

Ok experts, got a question and/or observation:
Does the heat effect anyone’s blood sugars? I’m sure it’s having an
effect on Madelyn.
The last week or so the Northeast is experiencing heat, that we don’t
usually see until August. It’s over 90 degrees today, and we live a
block from the beach, so the heat is on. Maddie is having lows all
over the place. I have upped her carbs and cut her insulin, and she’s
still running in the 40’s at times.
Of course I asked the school nurse and she said there is no correlation
at all. I said, “I’ll go to the experts”

Hi there,
Since I have began planning to start a family, I have been asking my
Endo tons of questions. She told me that when you first become
pregnant, your insulin needs go down in the beginning and then almost
double towards the end. I am on the pump and she told me I will
probably have to lower my basal rates in the first couple of
months…have you found this to be true?
And has it been much more difficult to control your BG? Have you been
on a very strict diet too?

My friends Uncle die a few weeks ago and they gave me his left over
testing supplies from Liberty. There are over 300 testing strips and
Lancets and a used Monitor. I can’t use them but if anyone is
interested your welcome to them. I live in NJ if you’re near or if
you want to pay for shipping. Does anyone know if I’d be alowed to
ship them or is that illegal? I’d hate to throw them out.
