Isn’t it Frustrating
How sometimes no matter what we do, we run high, and then when we least expect it, all of a sudden, we are Low and needing to do something immediately. I know with me starting my New job, I am running higher a lot, and figure it is the Nerves of starting a New job. But then when I take any insulin, especially while working, I am afraid I will drop too low.
Last night for example at work, I was starting to notice the Low signs and knew I needed to really get something good to eat in me. How does a person know what is best for the when they first start working again? I am on Lantus and Novolog.

I am not sure…but keep some snacks in your pockets or close by so we don’t worry about you.

I have no idea why sometimes it goes up and sometimes it goes down. I know
that stress is supposed to make your numbers rise but I have definitely
seen it fall. I think part of it might also be the type(s) of insulin
being used. I think if you’re using NPH, you can drop from a good reading
to a low one very easily if stressed out. I wasn’t on Lantus long enough
to see if the same thing happened. Now I’m on a pump and have trouble
keeping my numbers down. I have been very stressed about it, so that might
have something to do with it.
What insulin(s) are you using now?
