Isn’t it frustrating…?

Hello Lisa,

The one problem with the lifesavers is you need basically the WHOLE wrapper full to make a serious difference. Its hard candy and will work, but sucking down the whole thing can get ugly when things are heading to fuzzy places if you take my meaning. One or two pieces is not enough to really do much, except stick out our tongue at the ~low sugar train~ that’s coming up the tracks REAL fast & hard… us lying there kind sorta struggling against the tightening ropes….

When I was a kid I thought it was just GREAT that someone invented a candy (sic. for diabetics) and called them LIFE SAVERS, still think its the REAL reason behind the name ; )

I’m a big fan of the tubes (Gluctose, Cake icing, etc., etc), they float and have zero heat sensitivity whereas cans of soda, candy don’t play too well in hot or cold. Merely a thought for whatever its worth…

    Jeff,

That is a WONDERFUL idea about the icing tubes! I never thought of those, but instead hung on to my smartie idea. That does not work well on a canoe trip. The floating thing is a plus on the canoe, too, as long as I float down the river as quick as the tube does….

    Thank you so much,

    Joan

Oh, my goodness, Jeff! Ipecac??!! [INLINE] I have never heard of inert ipecac, but I guess it is possible. What better incentive, though, for your mom to influence you to never have a low sugar! : )
