Has anyone used a diabetic watch during the night?

My husband has been diabetic for 20 yrs.,has no complications, takes
good care of himself, etc. Sometimes, however, he has lows during
the
night and doesn’t awaken to them. He (and I) are wondering about the
watches out there that can detect ‘lows.’ We are aware of the costly
one that has sensors that cost about $63.00 every 16 days to operate!
Any others beside this one?
It would be helpful if anyone out there actually uses one that has
been effective for them during the night. Thank you
