		<description>Tina,

When I was on the Lantus/Humalog plan, I would just not take my Humalog. The Lantus would cover, for the most part, and I would seldom get lows. However, my body sometimes allowed my sugars to go a bit high because of the extra stress to the system, and I would maybe have to cover with just a couple units of humalog, depending on my BS. At times it would be difficult to know how much of the humalog was left in my system, so I would not inject the humalog more often than every 4 hours or so to make sure the previous stuff was gone....

Hope that helps.

<description>Recently Syd was sick and I was so glad we had switched to the pump. I tested her every 2 hours and her numbers stayed good even though she had no appetite and skipped a few meals. She snacked on crackers and diet soda when she could keep things down. The pump and lantus let you eat like a "normal" person and if you want to go from Breakfast until 2 for lunch it is usually ok, just keep something near by in case you feel low.

Migraines stink! I hat the kind where you just want to crawl into a dark hole until it is over. maybe skip meals and have a hard candy instead?
